Oakist Press is a volunteer-led publishing commons built around mutual aid, creative solidarity and accessible independent publishing.
It exists to help writers, artists and cultural engineers bring work into print without handing the process over to gatekeepers, vanity presses or corporate publishing systems.
The aim is simple – shared skills, fair access, practical support and books that would otherwise struggle to find a home.
There are no executives, no hierarchy and no profit taken from the publishing process itself. The focus is on cooperation, not extraction.
